The Village Board of Trustees will hold a business meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at , 418 Main St. For more information, visit www.lemont.il.us.

3. Women's Networking Event

The is hosting a networking event for women Monday at , 1 Pete Dye Drive. The event,"Building Better Bridges: Networking for Personal Productivity," will feature presenter Mary Brenczewski, administrative director of education at Silver Cross Hospital Objectives.

4. Fall Fun at the Lemont Library

The , 50 E. Wend St., is hosting a number of special events for kids Monday to kick off the fall season.

  • Harvest Happiness: From 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., children ages 3 and 4 are invited to enjoy stories, apples, school fun, pumpkins and more. The event includes fun crafts and songs. There is a $5 craft fee.
  • Autumn Antics: From 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m., kindergarteners are invited to enjoy great books, games and surprises. There is a $5 craft fee.
  • Apple Adventures: From 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., parents and babies are invited to enjoy finger plays and first books. Each event ends with a cascade of bubbles. There is a $5 craft fee.
  • Pumpkin Pages: From 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., 2-year-olds are invited to enjoy books, dance music and simple crafts. There is a $5 craft fee.

5. Active Transportation Meeting

The Village of Lemont is creating an Active Transportation Plan that will establish the community's goals for walking, bicycling and other forms of active transportation. The first of two kick-off meetings will be held at 8 a.m. Tuesday in Village Hall, 418 Main St.
