Tender Loving Care Animal Shelter in Homer Glen will have it's first Christmas Garage Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday to raise money to help defray the rising cost of helping animals in need. The sale will take place at 422 Hillview Court in Lemont.


The , 50 E. Wend St., is hosting a birthday party for Curious George author H.A. Rey at 4 p.m. Friday. There will be cake, games and a Curious George movie. The event is for children ages 4-8 and requires registration. For more information, visit www.lemontlibrary.org.
