2. Art Commission Vacancy

The Art and Culture Commission is currently seeking a resident to fill a vacancy on its seven-member board. The group's mission is to "cultivate the visual and performing arts in Lemont with a strong focus on public art." 3. Oakwood/River Valley Fun Fair

A Fun Fair will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in the gymnasium, 15425 E. 127th St. The event will include games, prizes, face painting, raffles and more. For more information, contact Lisa Dian at 630-408-6533.

3. Fall Children's Resale

The , 12725 Bell Road, is hosting a children's resale event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. The sale is cash only. No children or strollers are allowed. For more information, call 708-349-0454.

4. Garage Sale at Lithuanian World Center

A will be held Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the , 14911 E. 127th St. Clothes, toys, household items and books will be sold to raise money for the center's daily operations. For more information, visit www.lithuanianworldcenter.org.
