Patch Fans Sound Off: Lemont's Best Pizza Is...

Here at Lemont Patch, Facebook is a big deal.

Not only does Facebook allow me to share stories and quick updates, but it allows me to interact with readers, answer questions and see what the community thinks about some of the biggest issues in town.

This week, we jumped to 772 fans! We're still #2 in the Chicago region, but we fell behind Oswego Patch, which recently surpassed the 800 mark. We love and appreciate all the support, so we hope you'll continue to share our Facebook page with friends.

On Wednesday, Lifetime announced that Rob Lowe will play alleged Bolingbrook wife killer Drew Peterson in a movie based on Shorewood Patch Editor Joe Hosey's book. Here's what Patch readers had to say on the casting:

• Renee Moncivais: Not good casting & I'm sure Drew is eating it up.

• Marie Hartell Markowski: This whole thing just disgusts me. Normally I don't give a rat's patootie about things like this but to glamorize such an ugly man and feed into his constant need for attention...very disappointed in the actor for saying "yes" to the role (it's not as if he's a starving artist) and to Lifetime for being a part of this whole ugly thing.

• Marie Hartell Markowski: Amanda, I did get a chuckle out of your "If Rob Lowe looks like Drew Peterson..." comment. You don't need to get your eyes checked.

• Marge Fox: Is Rob Lowe that Desperate to make a movie! I would think there are bigger and better things out there for him!

• Lemont Patch: My mom's response to this news was, "Great. This will be a nice stroke to Drew Peterson's ego." Probably true. I'm so sad. Hopefully my celebrity crush won't be tainted. (Though Drew is obviously innocent until proven guilty. Living not far from Bolingbrook, I'm sort of sick of the whole thing.)

• Michele Faltin Valecek: Terrible casting! I love Rob Lowe and what a terrible character he has to portray in this movie.. AND he looks NOTHING liek Drew Peterson.. can I stress NOTHING!! ♥ Rob Lowe dislike his decision

• Monica Condon Brunory: They cast hot guys in these Lifetime movies so that they are "almost" watchable. They are almost tolerable when you are PMSing....with a bowl of ice cream. ;-) Mmmm....Rob Lowe

• Chris Geema Lenski: i think it's discusting,that there even is going to be a movie about this jerk!!!!!!!!!!!

• Casey Bromberek: Well, they are just gonna have to beat the crap out of Rob with the UGLY stick!
