The will hold a committee of the whole meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at , 418 Main St.

3. Lemont's Comprehensive Plan

Village officials are updating Lemont’s comprehensive plan, and to kick off the process they are inviting community members to offer some input. A survey is now available at www.lemont.il.us/lemont2030.

4. Veterans Drive

The Lemont Public Library is partnering with the Women's Auxiliary of the and the Rotary Club of Lemont-Homer Glen to collect and distribute items requested by veterans at Hines Hospital and Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans.

These organizations are in need of cleaning supplies, paper products, linens, gift cards and office supplies. Details are included in these wish lists: Hines VA Hospital Wish List and Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans Wish List.

Donations may be brought to the Circulation Desk during regular library hours from Oct. 1 through Nov. 11. For each donation, you will receive on coupon for a free DVD rental or $1 off fines (up to a maximum $10 per account).

5. Photo Class for Teens and Tweens

The is hosting a free class for teens and "tweens" (kids ages 11-15) on the basics of photography. They will learn camera operations, along with dos and don'ts and whys. Participants will practice taking shots using techniques learned in the class. They will use settings and props to set up their photo shoots.

Participants should bring their camera, film or memory card and extra batteries. A certificate will be awarded at the end of class.

The class will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at , 16028 W 127th St.
