The Lemont Junior Woman's Club filled Spring Food Bags for 100 families in need last month. For the sixth year in a row, the group was able to collect canned vegetables and meats, pasta, pasta sauce and snacks to fill bags donated by Nicor.

3. Blood Drive

Christ Community Church, 13400 Bell Road, for the American Red Cross on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oberweis Dairy and Heartland Blood Centers are teaming up to offer all donors $11 in retail purchases from any Oberweis Dairy location. For more information, call 630-257-7770.

4. Creating Gardens in Small Spaces

The Lemont Public Library, 50 E. Wend St., is hosting landscape designer Sandy Remijas, owner of Rainbow Garden Designs, for a demonstration on how to create container gardens. The program will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. For more information, call 630-257-0227.
