May 16: Lemont Postal Workers Collect 5,500 Pounds of Food for Charity

Food Drive

The Lemont Post Office extended their thanks to the community for donating more than 5,500 pounds of food for their on Saturday. All donations were delivered to the Lemont Open Food Pantries.

3. New "Government Watch" Feature

Starting this week, Patch will round up all the local government meetings for the week in our new Monday feature, We'll give you meeting times and locations, as well as top agenda items, for the village of Lemont, the Lemont Park District, Lemont Township, the Lemont Public Library, and Districts 113A and 210.

4. Paper Reflections: Art Show and Exchange

Starting Tuesday at the Lemont Public Library, 50 E. Wend St., artwork made by Old Quarry Middle School students will be on display in the Library Meeting Room. The works were created after hearing about the tragedy that struck Japan. Students made prints to help with the healing process. They are available for purchase on Saturday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross for the people of Japan.
