2. District 113A Special Meeting

The Board of Education will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. for a to discuss issues such as Central School, transportation and tax anticipation warrants. The board is also expected to vote on an increase in student fees for the 2011-2012 school year.

The meeting will be held in the 16100 W. 127th St.

3. Historical Society Hosts Civil War Program

The , 306 Lemont St., is hosting a special program at 7 p.m. Friday to commemorate the sesquicentennial of the Civil War at the Old Stone Church, Lemont's Civil War recruiting depot. Special guests will be General Ulysses S. Grant and Civil War re-enactors. There is also a new Civil War exhibit on display in the museum. For more information call 630-257-2972.

4. Daddies and Donuts

The , 50 E. Wend St., is hosting a special program Saturday for kids and their dads. From 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., residents are invited to grab a free donut and hear some great Spring stories. To register, call 630-257-6541.

5. Non-Resident Registration at the Lemont Park District

Non-resident registration begins Saturday for all summer programming. Registrations will be taken in person, online or by fax. For more information, call 630-257-6787 or visit www.lemontparkdistrict.org.
