The Lemont Tea Party is hosting a at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Lemont Township Community Center, 16300 Alba St.

Mayor Brian Reaves, along with representatives from District 113A and District 210, will host a town hall meeting on public education at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Lemont High School Performing Arts Center, 800 Porter St. Village officials to be answered during the meeting.

District 113A also announced Monday that they would be hosting an on Sunday, March 20, at the Lemont Township Community Center.

3. Lemont Community Showcase

The and the are co-hosting a Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the , 16050 W. 127th St. The event will include family games and activities, and several local businesses and community organizations will be featured (including Lemont Patch!).

4. Comprehensive Plan Update

On Wednesday, the Lemont Planning and Zoning Commission will host the first in a series of meetings to update the 2002 Lemont Comprehensive Plan. At the meeting, Village staff will provide an overview of what the 2002 Comprehensive Plan has to say about economic development and what economic development activities the Village has taken part in since 2002. The Planning and Zoning Commission will also discuss general priorities for future economic development efforts to consider in the comprehensive plan update.
