Lemont to Hold Annual Veterans Day Commemoration Friday
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5819 will hold a short ceremony at 11 a.m. in front of the downtown World War II memorial.
Lemont residents are invited to salute local veterans Friday morning during a short ceremony at the Main Street War Memorial
The will host its annual Veterans Day commemoration at 11 a.m. in downtown Lemont, just down the street from Nick's Tavern.
Lemont police and firefighters will be in attendance, as well as Mayor Brian Reaves. The ceremony will also include a 21-gun salute.

A reception will be held at the VFW post, 15780 New Ave., following the ceremony.
