June 7: Township Seeks Volunteers, Village Preps for High Temps

Lemont Township is seeking volunteers to drive the township's Medvan, which transports seniors and disabled residents to and from doctor appointments. The Medvan  runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 630-257-2522.

3. Relay for Life Meeting

The Lemont-Homer Glen Relay for Life will hold a committee and team captain meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Illinois Bar and Grill, 1131 State St. For more information, visit relaylemonthomerglen@gmail.com 

4. Village Preps for Tuesday/Wednesday Heat Wave

Village officials  over the next two days as temperatures soar into the 90s. The Lemont Park District will be using the  as a cooling station for residents without air conditioning. The  will also be available to respond to heat-related emergencies (call 630-257-2229).
