The 2011 Chicago Marathon on Oct. 9 may be sold out, but through the event’s charity partner, the American Cancer Society.

By joining the American Cancer Society’s DetermiNation program, Marathon athletes can dedicate their training and participation in the event to the fight against cancer and raise critically needed funds to help the Society expand cancer research and support those facing cancer.
4. Lemont Township Seeking Donations for Seniors, Babies
Lemont Township Human Services of wheelchairs and other gently used items that may be lended out to seniors and disabled residents. The township is also seeking items for babies, such as diapers, coupons for formula, gently-used clothing, etc. For more information, contact Debbie Schmitt at 630-257-2522.
