2. Farmers Market Continues

The weekly  continues today in the Talcott Square parking lot. The market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  for more information, including a complete list of vendors.

3. District 113A Special Meeting

The Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the , 16100 W. 127th St. Much of the meeting will be conducted in closed session to discuss litigation and "self-evaluation, practices and procedures or professional ethics" with a representative from the Illinois Association of School Boards.

4. Lemont Park District Meeting

The Board of Commissioners will hold its monthly business meeting at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Centennial Community Center, 16028 W. 127th St. For more information, visit www.lemontparks.org.

5. Fundraiser for Suburban Sheltie Rescue

A fundraiser for the Homer Glen animal shelter Suburban Sheltie Rescue will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10, at , 12371 Derby Road. For the entire day, 20 percent of sales will be donated back to the organization. CLICK HERE to visit the shelter's website to download the Payback Program Voucher.
