2. It's Like a Heat Wave!

Despite a somewhat cool start to the day, forecasters are still for the Chicago area Friday afternoon. The and the have opened the , 16050 W. 127th St., as a cooling station for those who need it. If a resident needs assistance for a non-emergency, they are asked to contact Lemont police at 630-257-2226.

3. Mosquito Spray

The Lemont Public Works Department will be spraying for mosquitoes Friday beginning at dusk. The spray will take about four hours to complete, according to Public Works Director Ralph Pukula.

Village residents wishing to be notified when a spray is occurring should call 630-257-2532.
