The Board of Education will hold its monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the , 16100 W. 127th St.

3. Fire and Ice

The is hosting a special program, at 7 p.m. Tuesday to celebrate the 125th anniversary. A documentary and new exhibit will be showcased. The event will also feature photos and video on Lemont's old ski hill, located at Lemont and Bluff roads.

4. Lemont Chamber Dinner Dance

The  is hosting its annual "Dinner Dance Vaudeville" from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Crystal Grand Banquets, 12416 Archer Ave. Retiring District 210 Superintendent Sandra Doebert will be honored during the event. Entertainment will be provided by Diva Montell and Lemont High School, and prizes will be raffled off.

The  is offering a "New Year, New You" special for people who join the , 16050 W. 127th St. Throughout the month of January, there will be no enrollment fee to sign up for the CORE.
