Aug. 18: Legion Park Cleanup, 'Lemont Night' at Joliet Slammers Game

2. Legion Park Cleanup

The Lemont Garden Club, in cooperation with the , will be weeding and sprucing up , 111 Main St., from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Volunteers should wear long pants and bring, if available, gardening tools for weeding.

3. Slammers Host "Lemont Night"

The Joliet Slammers are hosting "Lemont Night" during their game Saturday, which starts at 6:05 p.m. Lemont Township Supervisor Steve Rosendahl and Village of Lemont Executive Assistant Rose Yates will be throwing out the first pitch.

Tickets are still available at the , 1115 Warner Ave., for $10 each. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

4. Four-Family Garage Sale

A will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at 1277 Camelot Dr. The sale will include furniture, toys (American Girl) and houseware.
