April 25: Village Board Meeting Canceled, Women's Business Networking Event

1. Mayor' Drive for Charity

Lemont Mayor Brian Reaves is hosting the annual today at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club. All proceeds will benefit local organizations and causes. Be sure to check Patch later for photos from the event.

2. Village Board Meeting Canceled

The regular Village Board meeting is canceled Monday night due to the Mayor's Drive for Charity event. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 9, at 7 p.m., in , 418 Main St.

3. Chamber Business Networking Luncheon

The is hosting a business networking luncheon Wednesday, April 27, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at , 1 Pete Dye Drive.

The guest speaker will be William T. Gill, branch manager of Baird & Warner Real Estate in Naperville. His presentation is titled "Getting to the Top in a Down Market."

4. Golf Lessons for Adults

The is offering adult golf lessons at , 12294 Archer Ave., on Wednesday. The instructor will teach fundamentals of golf, including full swing, putting, chipping, pitching and sand. Lessons are designed for the novice as well as golfers of all levels. The hour-long lessons are offered at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. For more information, call 630-257-6787.

5. Rules of the Road Review Class

Lemont Township is holding a free Rules of the Road review class for drivers on Friday, May 13, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The class will be held at the Lemont Township building, 1115 Warner Ave. Call 630-257-2522 to reserve your spot.
