Pace Surveys Commuters in Will and Southwest Cook Counties

Pace is looking into the possibility of providing supplemental service to Metra's Heritage Corridor rail service.

Those who travel from that area to Chicago by car, bus or train, are encouraged to take part. Survey results will be used to determine if supplementary bus service is feasible along the corridor.

3. Chamber Business Networking Luncheon

The Lemont Chamber of Commerce is hosting a business networking luncheon Wednesday, April 27, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club, 1 Pete Dye Drive.

The guest speaker will be William T. Gill, branch manager of Baird & Warner Real Estate in Naperville. His presentation is titled "Getting to the Top in a Down Market."

The cost is $15 for chamber members, or $20 for non-members. RSVP to the chamber office by Monday, April 25. For more information, call 630-257-5997.

4. AYSO Registration

Registration will be held for the American Youth Soccer Organization from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Lemont Safety Village, 55 Stephen St.

Parents must provide a valid birth certificate to register children ages 4 to 15. Registration will also be held May 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

5. Create Recycled Art for a Chance to Win Great America Tickets

In honor of Earth Day later this month, Lemont Patch and Woodridge Patch are holding a. Editors Amanda Luevano and Melissa Tussing will judge creativity, use of recycled materials and overall quality to determine the winner of two tickets to Six Flags Great America. All entries must be received by April 22.
