April 18: Village Board Meeting, Bully Prevention, Last Chance to Win 2 Great America Tickets

Five things every Lemonter needs to know Monday.

1. Village Board Meeting

The will hold its monthly committee of the whole meeting Monday at 7 p.m. in Village Hall, 418 Main St. Topics to be discussed include: updates on the Glen Oaks and Krystyna Crossing, vehicle stickers and Illinois Street construction.

2. District 113A Meeting

The Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Old Quarry Middle School LRC.

The board will discuss moving forward with another round of tax anticipation warrants, as well as the 2011-2011 calendar, school fees and service contracts.

3. Bully Prevention Workshop

The , 50 E. Wend St., will host a workshop Tuesday night to address bully prevention tips. The class will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Bullying prevention specialist Patti Barnum will teach parents what to do if their child is being bullied. Parents, grandparents and guardians of children who have been bullied are invited to attend.

4. Lemont Park District Meeting

The Board of Commissioners will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Centennial Community Center, 16028 W. 127th St.

5. Create Recycled Art for a Chance to Win Great America Tickets

In honor of Earth Day later this month, Lemont Patch and Woodridge Patch are holding a. Editors Amanda Luevano and Melissa Tussing will judge creativity, use of recycled materials and overall quality to determine the winner of two tickets to Six Flags Great America. All entries must be received by April 22.
