World According To...Boutique Closes; Fashions Move Online

Talcott Square shop is liquidating its inventory as co-owner Renee Sokolis takes on a new business venture, 11 Eureka Boutique.

Downtown Lemont's will close its doors later this summer after nearly three years in business.

The Talcott Square shop, which opened in 2008, announced the closing on its Facebook page earlier this month. Jerry Kulhanek, owner of Talcott Square Plaza, confirmed the news Wednesday.

"We are very sad to leave our home on Talcott Avenue but it is time to start a new chapter," the post stated.

"We want to sell as much of the product in the store as possible, so, right now, we have everything discounted 50 percent or more," he said.

Fans of the boutique don't have to look far for the same fashions and vintage finds. Lemont native Renee Sokolis, co-owner of The World According To, has taken her business online.

The new website 11 Eureka Boutique is up and running with a large selection of women's tops, dresses, jewelry, eyewear and home goods.
