What Should Replace the Old Wendy's?

In a new weekly series, Patch asks readers how they would fill empty storefronts around Lemont.

Last week, Lemont Patch readers for the empty Sears building on State Street as part of our new "Vision for Vacancies" series.

The ideas ranged from bold and creative to simple and straightforward. Some readers expressed interest in a new hardware or grocery store, while others said they hope to see a hangout spot for teens, like roller rink or budget movie theater.

This week, we're heading across the Sears parking lot to the former home of the Lemont Wendy's, located at 1150 State St. The building was built for a fast-food chain, but we want to know what you'd like to see fill the vacant space.

The village already has popular chain restaurants like McDonald's, Burger King and Taco Bell/KFC—would you like to see another? If so, which one? If you're thinking outside the box, we want to hear those ideas, too.

Share your ideas for the vacant Wendy's in the comments.
