Mindflow Café Plans Grand Opening Tuesday

Entrepreneurial café provides space to work, have meetings, meet new people.

Mindflow Café will hold a grand opening event from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at its new location at 206 Main St. in downtown Lemont.

The event will provide participants with a gift bag filled with business tips, giveaways and more – as well as plenty of great food and conversation.

MindFlow Cafe is run by MindFlow Group, a Lemont-based consulting firm. Manager Keith Nowakowski has described Mindflow as an “entrepreneurial cafe" that provides a space to think, work, have group meetings and meet new people.

The lower level of Mindflow Cafe is filled with tables, booths and couches for people to work and meet. The back area is for members only, while the front is open to the public.

The upstairs includes several offices for rent, as well as conference rooms for group meetings.

Mindflow provides printers and Internet access, as well as food and beverages by Amazing Edibles Gourmet Catering. Menu items include bagels, muffins, cookies, sandwiches, wraps, salads, snacks, coffee and espresso.

"The idea of a shared workspace is really popular in the city, but there really aren't places like this in the suburbs," Nowakowski told Patch in July. "We see this as a great opportunity to bring new people to Lemont."

Was there ever a time when a full day was offered Jennifer? I was in kindergarten at Oakwood aboutRead More 28 years ago and even then it was half day. If you want full day Kate, St Pats/St Al's, St Cyril's, and I'm sure others are full day.

Let's get real. It is NOT a half day. It is 2.5 hours. By the time kids into class, sing a song,Read More have a snack and pee, they are done for the day. Sorry. Calling a spade a spade on this one.

Is this question really from a teacher? Full-day kindergarTen has a lot of fillers too: they eatRead More lunch, go outside, go to the bathroom, etc. I don't think our public schools allow snacks in the classroom anyway. Any teacher would know that learning starts at home, and a teacher would know how to supplement a kindergarten curriculum.
