Lemont Township’s Vendor/Crafter Market is Saturday

Shoppers can purchase unique finds from more than 30 vendors and crafters at the Lemont Township Community Center.

Lemont Township will host its fifth Neighbor to Neighbor Vendor and Crafters' Market from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, at the Lemont Township Community Center at 16300 Alba St.

At the market, visitors will find a unique gathering of independent business owners from their very own neighborhoods – as well as a chance to browse, connect and purchase unique finds from more than 30 vendors and crafters – such as designer jeans, candles, baked goods, artwork, makeup, purses and more.

Organizer Terri O’Neill-Borders said she started the market so stay-at-home moms and other crafters and vendors who were trying to supplement their incomes could gather in one place, make more contacts and have a chance to sell some of their wares.

“I also felt (the market) was a great, non-threatening, non-pressure environment for shoppers to browse and not be obligated to buy,” O’Neill-Borders said.  “Sometimes during those vendor parties, one feels obligated to purchase something.”

The event is free to the public and will feature a 50/50 raffle with prizes offered by vendors. The winner need not be present to win.
