Front Street Cantina Hosts Wiffle Ball Tournament for Families Battling Cancer

The tournament will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday during Lemont Legends Cruise Nights.

will host a wiffle ball tournament Wednesday night to raise money for two local families battling cancer.

The Lemont restaurant, located at 319 Front Street, is teaming up with the Hope and Friendship Foundation for the first "Strike Out Cancer" event. The tournament will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. during Lemont Legends Cruise Nights.

All proceeds will go toward mortgage payments and utility bills for two Lemont families, each of which is suffering a recent cancer diagnosis.

The entry fee is $10 per person, or $60 per team (each team has six to eight players).

The tournament will be run as a bracket competition with double elimination. Up to 20 teams will be accepted.

Front Street Cantina will be airing the final game of the Chicago White Sox/Cubs series beginning at 7 p.m., and will have live music from Lee and Angela from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
