'Peter Pan' Hits the Stage at Lemont High School

The spring musical will run Thursday through Saturday at the Lemont High School Performing Arts Center.

Children of all ages can expect grand, high-flying adventures as they join Peter, Wendy, John, Michael and Tinkerbell on a trip to Neverland, a timeless place where one never can grow old.

Lemont High School’s Performing Arts Center will feature "Peter Pan" for nightly performances from Thursday, May 16, through Saturday, May 18. All performances, which will be produced by Terry Redford, will begin at 7 p.m.

All tickets are $15, and all seats in the Performing Arts Center—including the balcony and main level—are reserved seats.

Individuals who order tickets online in advance not only can skip the ticket lines the night of the show, but also can choose their own seats and print their tickets at home. To order and pay for tickets online via credit card, patrons may visit the following link: https://pac.lemont.k12.il.us/

Tickets may be purchased at the door each evening, pending availability. For more ticket information, call 630-243-3286.

Based on J.M. Barrie’s short story, Peter Pan will feature both Lemont High School students and students from local grade schools. Peter, Wendy, John, Michael Tinkerbell and the Lost Boys will do battle with Captain Hook and his pirate crew. The production will be assisted by professional flyers that will bring the magic of Peter Pan to life. The show will include orchestrations from the recent Broadway revival, helping the audience embrace the magic of childhood.

Peter Pan will be directed by Heather Hutchison, with vocal direction and sound design by Dave Nommensen and choreography by Amanda Tanguay. Eric Moniger will head up set design and construction, while Roy Nees will serve as the backstage technical supervisor.
