Lemont's 22nd Annual Heritage Fest

In 1991, the first Heritage Festival was staged as a one day street fair to celebrate the history and heritage of Lemont with music, food and family fun.  Now in its 22nd year, Heritage Fest continues to provide an enjoyable celebration for residents, local businesses, and visitors.  There will be plenty of activities for kids from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., along with a crafts and vendor market, a car show and plenty of musical entertainment, food and fun through 11:00 p.m.  We've gone all out this year! New this year is the Zip Line, the Trackless Train, and we've just added a Petting Zoo along with a host of old favorites like the Eurobungy, the Rock Climbing Wall, Water Slide, Smash the Car and more!  Most activities are FREE!  And as a very special bonus, the Rock Climbing Wall and the Eurobungy will stay running til 8:00 p.m.  The rest of the children's stuff will wrap up at 5:00 p.m.

The Red, White & Blue Bike Parade kicks off our event.  Decorate those bikes and come on down and be a part of Heritage Fest 2012!  Prizes will be awarded at the Main Stage!  Line-up is at 12:30 p.m. at Legion Park across from the Metra Station.  The antique fire truck will lead our parade!   And as an added bonus, the antique fire truck will be available all afternoon in the children's area to climb on and take some memorable photos with.  All in all, this is an event you won't want to miss!

Heritage Fest takes place in Historic Downtown Lemont - Stephen Street, Canal Street, Lemont Street and Front Street.  The Salt Creek Model A Car Show is in the Metra Lot under the bridge.  For a complete line-up of the day's activities and a listing of the bands playing throughout the day, visit www.lemont.il.us
