Lemont High School’s freshman class will host a fundraiser at Front Street Cantina in Lemont on Sunday, April 22. Students, parents and community members all are invited to enjoy a meal at Front Street Cantina any time that day, as the restaurant generously has committed to donating 10 percent of its receipts to benefit the freshman class.
Besides appealing food and drink options being available, several activities will highlight the day. Business teacher John Aspel and art teacher Ryan Hennebry, who serve as co-sponsors of the freshman class, will be put to work as celebrity bartenders. The adjoining courtyard will include “bags” games, and one lucky attendee will walk away the winner from a 50/50 cash pot.
The evening’s entertainment will be an “Open Mic” night, which is slated to begin at 5 p.m. and will be hosted by Lemont High School junior and Tate Music Group recording artist Conor Matthews.
