Hometown Holiday

An afternoon of holiday events will kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday in downtown Lemont.

Hometown Holiday is the village's annual holiday celebration, and will include an ice sculpting demonstration, horsedrawn wagon rides, face painting, pictures with Santa Claus, complimentary hot chocolate and cookies (provided by Girl Scouts Community Service Unit 24), and children's activities (crafts, games and storytelling).

Tree decorating will begin at 2 p.m. The girl scouts will perform Christmas carols in Budnik's Plaza from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the tree lighting ceremony will begin at 5 p.m.
