Will County Police Chiefs’ Golf Outing June 5 Raises Funds for 2 Causes

Proceeds go to the Illinois Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Will and Grundy Counties.

The Police Chiefs Association of Will County will host its Whitey Miller Classic golf outing on June 5 at Woodbine Golf Course, 14240 W. 151st St., Homer Glen. This event is the association’s main fundraiser, with proceeds going to the Illinois Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Will and Grundy Counties, association president and Mokena Police Chief Steve Vaccaro said. The cost is $100 and includes a commemorative cooler and ball marker, round of golf, a golf cart, free beer, soda and hot dogs on the course and a buffet dinner after golf. 

The event will include door prizes, raffles and silent auction items. Attendance fee for the dinner only is $35. The association is seeking sponsors, prizes and auction items, as well as golfers. The event is open to the public.
