Lemont Honors 10th Anniversary of 9/11 with Remembrance Ceremony
The Lemont Christian Ministerial Association hosted a memorial Sunday at the Lemont Township Community Center.
Nearly 100 Lemont residents, police officers, firefighters and public officials gathered at the on Sunday to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
The 9/11 remembrance service was hosted by the Lemont Christian Ministerial Association, and featured music by the Southwest Community Concert Band and Lemont High School junior Aubree Tally.
Guest speakers included Lemont Police Cmdr. Dan Tully and Lemont Fire Chief Carl Churulo.
