Lemont Coyotes Basketball Team: Whiz Kids

Each week, Lemont Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.

Whiz Kids' Names: Chad Biggs, Cade Campos, David Diviero, Connor Douglass, Nate Ferguson, Michael Lipowski, Gerard Quimique, Joey Rita, Brandon Stomp, Michael Thompson

Whiz Kids' Age: Fourth grade

Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: On Feb. 19, the Coyotes travel team was invited to play a scrimmage game at the University of Illinois-Chicago Pavillion prior to the UIC mens basketball game vs. the Butler Bulldogs. The Coyotes had a pizza party and autograph session with the Flame after the game.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: The boys, led by head coach Dan Lipowski and assistant coaches Bill Douglass and Jeff Thompson, posted another strong season for the Coyotes program. The team was honored to be able to play at the UIC Pavillion and meet some local college basketball stars.
