Lemont CORE Opens as Cooling Center
Residents in need of a cool place can visit the Lemont Park District's CORE facility.
The Lemont Park District's CORE facility is open as a cooling center to residents without power.
As a community cooling place, the CORE Fitness and Aquatic Complex common areas are accessible for those in need of a cool place to retreat. The facility is also equipped with Wi-Fi that is always free to visitors at The CORE. If residents are in need of additional accommodations such as showers, please see the Service Desk staff at The CORE.
The Lemont Park District CORE Fitness and Aquatic Complex, located at 16050 127th St. (on Centennial Campus south of the Community Center) can be used as a cooling center Monday through Sunday during normal business hours as stated below:

Located on Centennial Campus
Monday thru Thursday - 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday - 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday - 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sunday - 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
