Last Chance: Keepataw Days 2012 Continues Through Monday (Labor Day)

If you haven't experienced the annual festival yet this year, there are still plenty of events, entertainment, food and fun to enjoy at Lemont's 63rd annual Labor Day festival.

Family Fun Run

The inaugural Keepataw Family Fun Run, which starts at 9 a.m., begins and ends next to Front Street Cantina.  Proceeds from the two-mile family race will benefit the Warrior Booster Club, which helps provide extra-curricular activities for students at Old Quarry Middle School..

Day-of-race registration costs $25 for adults and $20 for ages 13 and under. Race-day registration begins at 8 a.m.

Runners who have preregistered can pick up their packets at Front Street Cantina at 7:30 a.m. the day of the race.

Parade

The annual Keepataw Days Parade will start at 1 p.m. Monday in downtown Lemont. This year's theme, "Celebrate Lemont," pays homage to the village's history and culture.

Fest Fun, Entertainment, Food

The festival takes place in downtown Lemont in the , on Canal Street and Bossert Drive from noon to 10 p.m. Monday.

Rides and games are provided by Alpine, Inc. Kids can enjoy unlimited rides for $20 from noon to 5 p.m. Monday. Unlimited rides cost $15 during the Last Blast (Monday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.).

Noon - ??: Bingo hosted by the Hope and Friendship Foundation

12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m.: Andrea Veltri (Country, pop, rock)

2 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Dave Flemming Variety Show (Magic, balloons, juggling)

2 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Marsh-Mallow the Clown

2 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Free face painting

3 p.m. - 6 p.m.: Five Guys Named Moe (Rock)

6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.: The Legendary Rockstars (Party rock, pop, dance)

8:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.: DJ

Beer Garden

Beer garden entry is $5 nightly. Guests must be 21 years or older to enter the beer garden after 6 p.m. No lawn chairs are allowed after 6 p.m.

Food

Alpine Amusements: Traditional carnival food, such as popcorn and corn dogs.

The Grill Sergeant: Pork chops on a stick

Little Jimmy's Italian Ice: Italian ice, chiecken fingers

Zacarelli's Pizza: Pizza, beef sandwiches and hot wings

Pancho's Mexican Foods: Burritos, quesadillas, tacos and corn on the cob

Burgers and fries

The Tidal Crave: Smoothies, shaved ice and hot dogs
