The Celtics For A Cure Jr Relay For Life team is having a car wash and Bake Sale to raise money for the American Cancer Society on Saturday, June 30th in the parking lot of MB Financial Bank.
The 2012 Relay For Life of Lemont and Homer Glen event is being held on July 13-14 at the Lemont High School Sports Complex on 131st and Bell Road. Last year this local annual event raised over $70,000 in the fight against cancer by have special fundraising events such as this one.
Relay For Life is an overnight event where teams of residents from Lemont and Homer Glen will camp out over night and take turns walking around the track. The night is filled with special ceremonies which, CELEBRATE the survivors – REMEMBER those who lost the battle - FIGHT BACK for the future. The evening is filled with fun activities, music and games. Companies, neighborhood service organizations are all invited to form a team, be a sponsor, donate food or beverages, or volunteer the day of the event.
