Why Go: Well, yes, it might be a tad on the chilly side, but this is a romantic adult couples-only lantern walk over four scenic bridges. Afterward, cozy up around a fire with hot chocolate. Should we again mention this is romantic?
Pricing: $10 per couple
Where/When: The Morton Arboretum, 4100 Illinois Rte. 53, Lisle, Sunday seatings at 9:30 a.m., noon, and 2:30 p.m.
Why Go: Why go?! Chocolate is represented throughout the meal. There's also a cash bar and live music.
Pricing: $36 adult members, $42 non-members; $25 children-members, $30 non-members
Where/When: DG Downtown Management, 933 Curtis St., Downers Grove, Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Why Go: To see really cool (no pun intended) ice sculptures in the making and enjoy the street vendors. The forecast calls for warmer temperatures over the weekend, so it might actually feel balmy.
