Don’t Miss the Lemont Street Fair Saturday

The Lemont Historical Society's popular all-ages event will take place in the village's downtown from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

History will come alive Saturday at the Lemont Historical Society’s annual Lemont Street Fair.

The event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the 300 block of Lemont Street between Illinois and Cass streets, will feature free activities for kids, an antique and craft market, sales of rummage and bakery items, as well as pumpkins by Puckerville Farms and fall décor.

Fair-goers can also learn more about Lemont’s rich history by touring the informative historical society museum – and pose for photos wearing historic costumes from Granny’s Attic.

The Holy Cross Marimba Ensemble will perform live at noon and a DJ will be on hand for musical entertainment throughout the day.

Guests can bring antique items from their homes to find out whether Grandma’s vase or Grandpa’s old milk can is really a treasure – as the popular Road Show appraisals will be on hand from 1 to 3 p.m.
