Chili’s has offered to help raise funds for Lemont’s Hope and Friendship Foundation through the restaurant’s “Pepper Partner Program.”
From Nov. 1-30, diners who present a special voucher to Chili’s Homer Glen (15735 S. Harlem Ave.) or Orland Park (14025 South Bell Road) locations will have 10 percent of their purchase donated to the foundation. Print out a copy of a voucher pictured to the right of this article and present it at Chili’s when you place your dine-in or to-go order.
The Hope and Friendship Foundation was established to help those facing financial, emotional or physical crises and to provide a conduit between those that have and those that need.
Over the years, Hope and Friendship has organized community Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas meal deliveries and care packages, birthday parties for underprivileged children, food drives to support the Lemont Food Pantries, and various other fundraisers to support Lemont residents in need.
According to founder Terri O’Neill-Borders, Hope and Friendship Foundation’s mission is “to extend a hand of friendship to those in financial, emotional and physical crisis, and to reassure them that someone is aware of their struggles, is willing to listen to them, and will work to provide any means of aid possible.”
O’Neill-Borders said the Chili’s fundraiser will help the Hope and Friendship Foundation provide families in need with Christmas dinners and assist them in paying their heating bills.
