Cub Scouts Learn About Patch, Earn Communicator Badge

A group of Lemont Cub Scouts learned about online news and reporting Monday night during a visit with Patch Editor Amanda Luevano.
The Faithful Falcons, a group of Webelos II Scouts, earned their Communicator badge after completing a series of activities. One of the requirements is to visit a newsroom and learn how reporters receive information.
During their den meeting at on Monday night, the boys learned about reporting and writing for the Internet, and had a short discussion about Patch. They were also shown examples of recent news stories in Lemont.

The group is composed of Brandon Reigle, Ben Pimentel, Greg Perini, Michael Harbut, River Calderon, Matthew Otreba, Mark Wencl, Zachary Klimczak and Ricky Moravecek.
