Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: On Tuesday, March 22, the Blue Darters won the championship game of the Lemont Park District's fourth-grade youth basketball league — capping an undefeated season. They are the only team in all six park district levels to be undefeated through the playoffs. There are six teams at the fourth-grade level.

During the game, they battled against the tough St. Cyril Comets Red team, who had the second best record in the league at 9-3. The Blue Darters got a small lead early on, and slowly built on it throughout the game. The final score was 17-10, a score that reflects the tough defense shown on both sides.

The team is coached by player parents Scott Pollard and Rick Tauer.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Coach Pollard said after the game, "The boys worked hard this season and they played really well every game, but especially tonight. I am proud of them and am happy to have been able to coach such nice boys."
