The Jeff Anderson Children’s Foundation Donates Toys for Pediatric Unit at Silver Cross Hospital

When Earl and Gail Anderson’s 28-year-old son, Jeff, was killed in a car accident over 12 years ago they started the Jeff Anderson Children’s Foundation to honor their son’s memory. Throughout the year, the Lemont couple collects new toys and delivers them to area hospitals to comfort sick children.  On Dec. 23, Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox was the recipient of toys that the Anderson’s collected from the Lemont schools, local Girl Scout Troops, and the Lemont Lion’s Club.

“We are grateful to the Jeff Anderson Children’s Foundation for their support for our youngest patients,” said Larry Johnson, Vice President of the Foundation at Silver Cross Hospital. “The donation of toys will make a difficult stay at the hospital a little easier.”
