The weatherman’s giving a green light for SOUTH SUBURBAN HUMANE SOCIETY’s Bark Walk this Saturday, September 28… yaaaaayyyy!!!
It's the second biggest SSHS fundraiser of the year and arguably the most fun! Join us for a walk and fun fest in downtown Homewood in Irwin Park on Ridge Road just east of Dixie Highway. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the Walk kicking off at 10 a.m. There are walks of various lengths to support different abilities.
At the Fun Fest, enjoy 15+ different vendors (get a start on your holiday shopping with arts and crafts, pet themed merchandise, and so much more), a dog training presentation, agility demonstration, search and rescue demonstration, a live band (THANK YOU, Ripley Street!!), raffles, food (an outstanding, award-winning Mexican food truck with vegetarian and meat-lovers options for breakfast and lunch), the adoptable pets of SSHS, and the crowning of our Dog of the Year. To pre-register and to create your own fundraising page for the event, click here now Bark Walk 2013.
Registration is just $25 and includes a t-shirt and goodie bag to the first 100 registrants. Dogs who accompany you to the walk should be social and up to date on routine vaccinations. PLEASE NOTE: You can also attend the Fun Fest without registering for the walk if you want to come and shop, meet and greet!
Come support SSHS, and have a GREAT time doing it, on a beautiful fall day!!
