On Friday, March 7, 2014, Community Christian Church will host its first All-Campus worship night at COMMUNITY’s Plainfield location at 13731 S. Route 30, Unit 117 in Plainfield. The live music event is free and open to the public and goes from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.

The band, currently known as the COMMUNITY Worship Band, consists of six incredibly talented arts directors from numerous locations of Community Christian Church: Jeff Boriss from Naperville Yellow Box, Pat Nelson from Shorewood, Chris Heller from Plainfield, Tony Germann from Romeoville, Leroy Barncord from Naperville Downtown, and Guy Roseen from Yorkville.

The collaboration was the brainchild of acoustic guitarist and vocalist Leroy Barncord. Leroy has been attending COMMUNITY since 2004 and has been the creative arts director at the Naperville Downtown location for four years.

"I'm super excited about the type of worship experience this will create throughout our entire church and beyond.  I can't wait to see how God will move and work through us all," says Leroy Barncord.

Pat Nelson, keyboard player and vocalist for the band, received a degree in music composition from Augustana College and plays 10 instruments to perfection. A guitarist for COMMUNITY since 2004, Chris Heller is the band’s rhythm guitarist and one of the vocalists.  Jeff Boriss is the band’s drummer; over the years, Jeff has created several albums and has toured with a number of bands. Tony Germann, who has played the guitar for more than 30 years and has been with COMMUNITY since 2002, shreds as lead electric guitarist.  Guy Roseen is the band’s bass guitarist. Guy started his music career with COMMUNITY, and then went to Nashville for 10 years before returning to COMMUNITY in 2013.

The COMMUNITY Worship Band’s March 7 Plainfield performance promises to be the first of many live performances throughout the Chicagoland area.  The band plans to rotate venues, performing free at various COMMUNITY campuses in and around Chicago.
