Lemont Veteran & First Responder Appreciation

Lemont Knights of Columbus Council #1599 is planning a special recognition program for all Lemont active military and veterans along with first responders who are active or retired on November 9th.  A special mass will be conducted at 5pm at St. Patrick church.  Lemont Police Chief, Kevin Shaughnessy will be a feature speaker at the church service.  All faiths are invited.  Follow the mass a free spaghetti dinner will be provided for military, veterans and first responders with their spouse or significant other at the Lemont Township Community Center starting at 6:30pm.

The Council decided it is long overdue that a recognition program was in order for our Lemont heroes.  Program chairmen, Gary Gunderson and David Anderson both stated, “these are the men and women who respond to disaster and defense of our nation when so many others stand aside”.  Service personnel, veterans, first responders (active & retired) are encouraged to attend one or both events.  Seating capacity for the dinner is limited to 150.  For more information call 630 461-1905
