Freedom Days

Join the Lemont Park District for a multi-day celebration leading up to our Independence Day Extravaganza!


Kicking it off on Sunday June 29th at 8am is the Color Me Proud Freedom 5K. Red, white & blue color stations will be located throughout the course ready to blast runners as they go by. The final station will be a kaleidoscope of colors like an awesome fireworks display! Register on www.active.com today!

Monday June 20th: The All-American Swim at Centennial Outdoor Aquatic Center from 5pm-8pm. This free "pack the pool" event will be fun for ages and include games, prizes, rockin' music & more! So grab your friends and head to Centennial Outdoor Aquatics Center for a great time!

Tuesday July 1st: Sky High Freedom Fly at Centennial Park from 6pm-8pm. Celebrate Freedom Days by enjoying the outdoors flying kites! Kid's games, music & much more are all park of this fun, new event. Please bring your own kite. A limited supply will be available for purchase.

Wednesday July 2nd: Red, White & Zumba, brought to you by Lemont Park District and Lemont 22 Honor VFW Post 5819 at Legion Park, 6:30pm. Join us at we pay tribute to our local veterans during a Zumba class to benefit the troops at the Lemont VFW. Festivities will begin at Legion Park & conclude at the Lemont VFW where refreshments will be available. Donations will be collected for the cause at the event.

Also! "Free To Be Fit" all day Open House at the CORE Fitness & Aquatic Complex!

Thursday July 3rd: Independence Day Extravaganza, 4pm at Centennial Park! Brought to you by Lemont Park District, Village of Lemont & Lemont Township!

The agenda for Independence Day Extravaganza....

4pm: Foundation Beer Garden & Food Court Open
5pm: 3 on 3 Basketball & Children's activities
6pm: Bean Bag Tournament
7pm: Chicagoland's premiere country band, The Hillbilly Rockstarz perform
Dusk: Amazing fireworks show, music provided by GAC Entertainment
