An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Get yours.

As the saying goes, an apple a day keeps the doctor away, which is why the physicians with Primary Care Professionals are hosting an Open House giving away taffy apples, an Apple iPad  and health screenings. The free event will be held Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 3 to 6 p.m. in Suite 370 of Pavilion A on the Silver Cross Hospital campus, 1890 Silver Cross Blvd., New Lenox.

Participants will receive complimentary taffy apples, apple cider and other delicious and nutritious treats.  There will be a drawing for an Apple iPad2, and free health screenings for high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes. No fasting is required.
