Lemont High School District 210 to Appoint New Board Member Thursday

A special meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Lemont High School.

The Lemont High School District 210 Board of Education is expected to appoint a new board member during a special meeting Thursday night.

The new member will replace George Rimbo, who resigned last month after being appointed chief of the Lemont Fire Protection District.

The newly seated board member will serve a two-year term. A new two-year term will be available during the April 2015 election, according to District 210 Community Relations Director Tony Hamilton.

A four-year term will next be available in 2017, Hamilton said.

The special meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Lemont High School, 800 Porter St.
