Lemont Center for the Arts Extends Deadline for Anniversary Exhibit

ALSO: A performance by Lemont native Steve Grand and a free musical at the Lithuanian World Center.

Lemont Center for the Arts anniversary exhibit: The Lemont Center for the Arts, 1243 State St., has extended the deadline for its third anniversary exhibit. All entries must be made by Monday, July 29. The exhibit will run Sept. 8 to Oct. 27, and will be the center's first juried art show. From YouTube to Front Street: Lemont native Steve Grand, whose music video for the song "All-American Boy" went viral earlier this month, will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at Front Street Cantina, 319 Front St. Read: YouTube Star Steve Grand to Perform at Front Street Cantina.

Free kids musical: Local children will perform "The Ever After - A Musical" at 7 p.m. Friday at the Lithuanian World Center's Foundation Hall, 14911 E. 127th St. The show is a parody of daytime television, featuring various characters from popular fairy tales. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged to support the Lemont Center for the Arts.
