Help Provide Thanksgiving Dinners for Needy Families

Hope and Friendship Foundation is seeking donations and volunteers to provide a Thanksgiving meal for local families in need.

The Hope and Friendship Foundation is seeking monetary donations in order to provide needy families with full Thanksgiving dinners this holiday season.

Meals will be delivered Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Jewel Food Store will offer full turkey meal boxes as donations are collected.

The community can help by also making a donation of $15 and Chipain's will hold a turkey for Hope and Friendship to deliver. Visit www.hopeandfriendshipfoundation.com and use PayPal or checks can be mailed to Hope and Friendship, 721 Hickory St., Lemont, IL., 60439.

Additional help is needed from 2:30 to 5:30 Nov. 26., at Lemont Safety Village. Drivers are needed from 2:30 to 3 p.m. assistance with sorting food is needed from 3 to 4 p.m.; deliveries between 4 and 5 p.m.; and cleanup from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Side dishes are also needed and can be dropped off between 2 and 3 p.m. Nov. 26 at Safety Village.
