A new Lemont store is hoping to capitalize on the increasing demand for gluten-free products in the southwest suburbs. Gusteau's Gluten-Free Shoppe will open its doors Saturday at 1246 State St., in Centennial Plaza. In addition to carrying a wide variety of wheatless products, the store will offer homemade desserts, catering and carryout meals. Unemployment rates in Illinois were 9.5 percent in March, a slight decrease over February and slightly higher from the same time in 2012, according to new figures released in late April. The Illinois Department of Employment Security generally reports unemployment figures for municipalities with populations of 25,000 or more people. The numbers measure unemployment for residents who live in a certain town, not those who work in the town.
