Politicians have shaped the national discourse to blame moochers, government spending, government regulations, and "entitlements" for our economic crisis. Join a discussion led by noted lecturer, Ed Cole, as we explore the root cause of the economic issues of our time, income/wealth inequality and the national debt furor. The discussion will draw from the Joseph Stiglitz book, “The Price of Inequality." Learn how Stiglitz, a Noble Prize winning economist, views the issues. Join us even if you have not read the book as key points will be explained and discussed.
The South Suburban MoveOn Council will host this teach-in concerning income inequality and the national debt on Tuesday, March 12, 7-8:30 pm at the Frankfort Public Library, 21119 S Pfeiffer Rd., Frankfort, IL 60423

Yes, lets all go listen about a book written by a Socialist. Hmmm, I wonder who will be blamed for the economic crisis?

Never said I was open minded. Besides, I don't enjoy the company of people that think the government should support them cradle to grave.

It's all BS...we all come into the world naked. If you come from rich parents or very poor, white or black, makes no difference in terms of you making something of yourself. It all takes hard work and dedication. We have come to the point where there is an excuse or pill for everything. Half of the have nots don't try and never did. They learn quickly how to get hand outs. Nature teaches us a lesson...remember all those do not feed the animals signs? When they become dependant on us they stop hunting for themselves and when we stop feeding them...they no longer survive.

Well said Ed. Socialism only works until the people paying for it run out of money.
